Two very different bags

Both called a shoe wash bag

Same shoes.
Two very different bags.

Both are sold as a shoe wash bag. That is roughly where the similarity ends, and the difference only shows up once the drum is spinning.

The honest comparison

Against other shoe laundry bags.

  • Fits a pair of shoes up to men’s AU 13 / US 14
  • Three compartments, one for each shoe and one for the insoles
  • A locking zip, so the bag never shakes open mid-cycle
  • Reverse coil zip where the teeth face inside the bag, never the drum
  • Colour fastness tested to ISO 105-C06 grade 4
  • Stress tested to 50 cycles at 60°C and 1400rpm

Other bags exist. They are not built the same. Most give out on the things that matter once the drum is turning: the zip, the stitching, the dye. Ours is engineered for all three, holds a full pair whatever the size, and is made to take the cycle, and many cycles after that.

The care guide

The wash, in order.

  1. Knock the dry mud off.A soft brush, one minute. Wet mud sets in the wash.
  2. Load the bag.One shoe each side. Laces and insoles in the centre.
  3. Cold water, gentle cycle, 600 to 800rpm.Mild detergent. A towel in the drum keeps the load quiet.
  4. Front loader or impeller top loader.Never an agitator.
  5. Air dry only.Shoe trees in while damp, out of direct sun. Never a dryer.

Designed for canvas, mesh and synthetic. Never wash leather or suede in the machine, in our bag or anyone else’s. We will keep saying that even though it costs us a sale now and then.

The bag protects. The machine cleans.
