Left shoe
One shoe on its own side, held off the drum wall by the padded chenille. That contact is where scuffing and sole separation start.

Laces and insoles
Out of the shoe and into the centre pocket. A US 14 insole lies flat rather than folded, and nothing thrashes around loose.

Right shoe
The other shoe on the other side. The pair never touches through the whole cycle.
3D spacer mesh at both ends so water and detergent move through the bag instead of sitting in it. A reverse coil zip with the teeth facing inward and a metal clip into a D-ring, so it cannot shake open mid cycle. More than 3,000 chenille fibres line the body. 38 x 30 x 15cm.

Cheaper bags are cheaper for a reason. Something has been left out, and it shows once the drum is turning: the zip, the fit, the stitching, the dye. Ours is tested to ISO 105-C06 grade 4 colour fastness, so the colour stays in the fabric rather than on your white runners, and the zip locks with a metal clip into a D-ring so the bag never shakes open mid cycle.

The questions we get most.
The bag keeps the pair off the drum and stops the two shoes hitting each other. Add a couple of towels to balance the load and it runs like a normal gentle cycle.
The chenille is dyed, so the test is the point. It was independently wash-tested for colour transfer and graded 4 to ISO 105-C06, which is why the bag is a warm neutral rather than a bright colour.
One bag holds a full pair up to men's AU 13 / US 14, with laces and insoles in the centre compartment. Two pairs means two bags.
Brush the dry mud off first, and pre-treat heavy staining by hand. A cycle lifts surface dirt. It does not lift baked in dirt, and we would rather tell you that than show you a result you cannot repeat.
About 45 to 60 minutes in the machine depending on your cycle, then 12 to 24 hours to air dry. Wash after dinner and the pair is ready for school.
Differently to the shoes, which catches people out. The shoes go in cold on delicate. The bag on its own washes at 30°C on a normal cycle, empty, with the zip closed and the clip fastened. Air dry it flat, never in the dryer.
